Breathe and Rejoice, your laptop isnt fried yet if it reboots, Reboot and immediatly start uninstalling ALL Bluetooth Drivers, the filters for everything Including the main Filter filtering the entire system, im guessing Athero's is messed up, meaning also Wifi/ Airplane mode filter in the machine is also totally screwed, basicly. Be sure to have a copy of all your drivers before starting out, i imagine you do. Your going to probably want to reboot after cleaning out all the ( didnt install correctly ) driver ANd filters, big dfferance here and the filters and drivers must be in place first before Bios activates them through POST. Well your seeing what its doing and its eventually going to destroy the machine because these machines run mostly on bluetooth. I struggled uninstalling and repairing or re-installing newest version you provided, but every time I finally reboot after installation it leads to the same result: Mobile tab only. Sorry- I didn’t understand, so I don’t really remember). I wrote to ASUS and here are the instructions and links they sent me. This worked perfectly though I did have to go in and UNINSTALL these things completely (and restart the computer every time) in order to install the new drivers. It took about 15 minutes all told what with the 4 restarts necessary. For your issue, please attach to an external mouse, then try to download and reinstall the ATK driver first and then reinstall the Touchpad driver from the following links: – – ps: I also just uninstalled the ATK and ASUS Smart Gesture drivers from the CONTROL PANEL! 🙂 Much more user-friendly for non-computer savvy folks, I think, than having to open Windows explorer and type in commands.
